A Look Inside Our Album Listening Party

To celebrate the release of Just When You Thought It Was Over, Toye Aru & Derric UGC brought friends, fans, creatives, and supporters together for an unforgettable evening at Jameson Yard, in partnership with Jameson. It was a night dedicated to music, community, and the journey behind the project. Guests enjoyed signature Jameson cocktails and bites, experienced the album for the first time, and joined us for the premiere of the new music video for “Middle of the Night.” The evening was hosted by Mayowa Mula of Beat FM 99.9, with DJ Axara providing the soundtrack throughout the night.

The Jameson Yard Experience

The night began with guests arriving at Jameson Yard, where they were welcomed with music from Axara and invited to explore the space. Guests received a tour of some of Jameson's signature rooms, including the Black Barrel Room and the Podcast Room, setting the tone for an evening centered around music, storytelling, and culture.

The Listening Session

Mayowa Mula guided the album listening session, taking us through Just When You Thought It Was Over track by track. Between songs, Mayowa sat down with us to dive deeper into the creative process behind the project—exploring the stories, inspirations, and experiences that shaped each track. It was more than just a first listen. It was an opportunity to bring the audience into the world behind the music.

Q&A With the Fans

After the listening session, the conversation opened up to the audience. Fans and supporters had the opportunity to ask questions about the album, the creative process, and the stories behind the music. There were also plenty of requests for favorite tracks to be played again, giving everyone a chance to experience the songs from a new perspective.

Signature Bites & Jameson Cocktails

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a selection of signature Jameson cocktails and bites, adding to the atmosphere and making the night feel like a true celebration of the project.

Capturing the Moment

The night wouldn't have been complete without memories to take home. A dedicated photo booth gave guests the chance to capture moments with friends, fellow supporters, and the artists themselves, creating snapshots that will live on long after the evening ended.

A Night to Remember

From the first song to the final photograph, the evening was a celebration of the people, experiences, and creativity that brought Just When You Thought It Was Over to life. A huge thank you to Jameson, Mayowa Mula, DJ Axara, and everyone who came out to listen, celebrate, ask questions, dance, connect, and support the journey.
